BOG Refrigeration System
The propane is chilled to -44°F for loading by an open loop auto refrigeration system that cools by partially flashing the propane product. Flash vapors are compressed, condensed, and returned to the system. This is accomplished by using two oil flooded screw compressors in series driven by 1250HP for 1st stage and 5250HP for 2nd stage electric motors. The unit is also provided with common lube oil system, water cooled condenser, refrigerant receiver, a flash economizer, and propane chiller.
